Hey everyone it’s Adam DeGraide here with another micro motivation hopefully everyone’s doing well.
I was actually thinking about ahm, I watched a movie last night. I think it’s called I still believe, The story about Jeremy Camp
Not a huge Jeremy camp music fan.
However, the story was fantastic. And I and, it was interesting because his wife. Whether you’ve seen the movie or not spoiler alert, she has cancer and her perspective on the world is pretty fascinating.
A lot of things that have been talking about space and the universe in my life, my wife, studied to be an astronomer when she was a young girl all the way right up until college, she had aspirations of being an astronomer. And she’s actually shared a lot with me on the stars and one of our fifth anniversary trips to St Lucia. We sat there on Jade mountain and we looked up into the sky and we just saw can actually see the Milky Way, with a naked eye. And in the movie, I Still Believe there was a scene where they were out and they were stargazing, and she was looking up into the heavens and she was saying how amazing God was, she started talking about the Andromeda Galaxy, which is interesting, it’s the closest galaxy to the Milky Way.
It’s 2.5 million light years away, and they say that there’s like trillions, trillions of solar masses and just expansive and they think maybe even five to 10 times the size of our Milky Way even more. Those of you who are astronomers listening to me saying this guy doesn’t even know what he’s talking about. That is true.
I don’t know what I’m talking about. However, I do know that my God made that amazing galaxies and all the universes around us.
And one of the amazing things is that he actually cares about us.
See The Bible talks about, who can know the ways of the Pleiades or who can know the laws of the heavenlies, God can know them. He created them, he set them in motion the universe is in motion. And yet the Bible still says that even knows the numbers on our head he’s numbered our hairs on our head. That’s how much he cares about us. And in the movie she was talking about how amazing of a painter, and an artist God was in the universe.
And then she said, and I’m apart of that picture and it my daughter Brooke said the same thing when she was a little girl. My mom said, look how beautiful the world is around the sunset, and she goes well God’s an amazing artist and yes, Grandma, I’m in that picture. And the fact that we are in the picture and that God knows us and cares about us, even when he has created these galaxies, planets in billions of stars, trillions of stars and who knows how large the universe is. He still cares about us. And as we sit alone sometimes in our house, or if we’ve been isolated for some time, can sometimes feel very, very lonely but I’ve got good news for you. God knows your name.
He knows how many hairs are on your head or in my case lack thereof. It’s amazing by the way, how much anger my ear can generate on some of the comments on my posts.
“You look like a teenager, who would listen to an idiot with a haircut like that.
You see the point is, is that if God knows who I am. And he’s made the most amazing pictures in the sky.
My wife bought a planetarium for my son, Anthem and we’d lay in his bed and we’d look at the ceiling, and we can even see the shooting stars on his planetarium, it’s amazing.
The fact that he created the universe and yet knows my name. Knows your name, should give us great motivation and great encouragement that God loves us and cares for us.
This has been a micro motivation with Adam DeGraide.
Remember if you can’t make your point in under four minutes, you might not have one to make.
I hope everyone’s doing well, stay safe and have a great day.
