Hey everyone it’s a micro motivation here with Adam DeGraide if you missed last week’s episode I talked about the shortest verse in the Bible, which is Jesus Wept.
I highly recommend that you go back and take a look at it. I’ve been reading the year Bible as many of you know, and I always love the story of the prodigal son, and I love the story of the tax collectors. One of the things that’s always impacted me in scriptures is how God really loves those that recognize their brokenness and they’re lost in their sin.
And then they returned back to him, you know in many, many years ago as a young man, I gave my life to Christ, and I asked for forgiveness of my sins. And there’s a very interesting passage in the Bible where it talks about what happens when we recognize our failures, our faults and our sins against God, and then more importantly turn and repent to Him and ask for his forgiveness, the Bible literally says in verse, Luke chapter 15 verses, 7 through I think 10 or 11. It says I tell you that in the same way. There will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous persons who need no repentance.
So think about that, there’s a party going on in heaven, there’s actually a party going on when we recognize our faults and our failures and our sins and give our lives to Jesus.
The Bible says that the angels rejoice. And so, there’s actually celebration, you’re probably wondering to yourself. You know, how far away are you from God?
Have you ever walked towards God?
Are you a believer that has fallen away from God?
We all go through different seasons in our life, and different challenges. And I never forget a sermon that I heard years ago is that no matter how many steps we take away from God, or how far you think you are away from him. You’re only one step away from coming back, and having the angels in heaven rejoice and there be a party because of you. Because of me.
How amazing is that to think about it. So when you recognize that we have broken. We have fallen. We are sinners in need of a Savior. And we recognize that Jesus is that one and we turn, which is what repentance means we turn back towards him. We can be saved, and there’s a party in heaven.
And you see when God moves in your life. You know the story of Hansel and Gretel how they always left bread crumbs and then something came and ate them and they lost their way.
Well, when God moves in your life and you know he was in your life and you recognize that you’ve been forgiven. Put that rock down, not a piece of bread but a stone.
So no matter how far away you walk in your journey, you can always turn back and find the stones, the rocks in your life where God has met you, you see you are special, you are important. And there’s angels in heaven right now waiting to party. Because of you.
This has been a micro motivation with Adam DeGraide.
Remember if you can make your point in under four minutes, you might not have one to make.
Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
