Hey everyone, I’m at the beach. It’s Adam DeGraide. I’m here playing with my son Anthem. It’s amazing. He’s right back there. And you can see him. He’s literally attacking the ocean, as if he’s going to win. Let’s see if we can get a good shot of it.
There he is, that’s my little man. Watch him, ready, watch him. He’s going to run in. He attacks the ocean. What’s so amazing about Anthem is actually this morning, we were sitting on the couch together. And he said, you know, Daddy, I’m going to be bigger one day. And I said to him, You know what, son, you absolutely are, and you’re going to be a daddy. And you might have a son or a daughter and a wife. And he looked at me, he goes, but Daddy, I want your face.
I said, What do you mean by that? He goes, I want to be like you, Daddy. And it just hit me like right here. You know, the fact that our kids want to be like us. They watch us, they grow up with us. And it reminded me of a passage in Scripture, where it says, when we see him face to face, we shall see Him as He is. And we will know him as he is. Because just like my son wants to be like his father. It should be our desire to be like our Heavenly Father. And I know I didn’t get that, you know, phrasing of the Bible passage, totally accurate, but it’s pretty close.
Basically talked about how today, we see in a dark, very darkly, we see through a glass darkly. In other words, when we think of God, we see Him not as clearly as we could one day when we’re standing before Him. We will see Him as He is and we will know Him and we will become like Him. And it was just really reminded me of that yesterday, when this little guy right there.
Say hi Anthem, said, Dad, I want to have your face. God, may we want to have your face to be more like you. Alright guys, thanks for listening. Have a great day.
