Hey everyone, it’s Adam DeGraide also known as Captain Crazy. It’s somebody whose fourth birthday today little man Anthem. And so you can take me seriously, I’ll just take these off for a second. Because they’re here obviously makes it very, very serious.
Anthem is the seventh grandchild born to each set of grandparents. So my beautiful wife Krystle’s mom and dad, my mom and dad’s seventh grandchild Born on 7/7/2015 right around 7am, which is pretty amazing. Our second child together Rhapsody was born on 8/8/18 and she’s the eighth grandchild on both sides. Now, what’s amazing about kids, when their birthdays are coming up, are you excited? As you can tell, he’s thrilled.
So the whole plane flight back from LA, he was just talking about his birthdays birthday, his birthday. And then at the end of the flight, this gentleman got up and said, Hey, Anthem, are you excited about your birthday? And he said, I absolutely am, because I’m going to get a little bit taller. And everyone started to laugh and chuckle because kids just say awesome things. But it really struck me that when you’re growing up and you’re a kid, we do want to get taller, we want to get bigger, we want to be like the adults around us and have life.
And as we get older and older, we stop growing and stop getting taller, we get wider, in some cases even shrink as we get older, right? But that doesn’t mean that we can’t grow in our own personal lives and that we can get a little bit taller in other areas as well. So as Anthem is celebrating his fourth birthday, give me a high five buddy boom, say it’s my birthday. And you’re going to be a little bit taller. Exactly.
As we’re celebrating this today, I’ve been mindful all day of the fact that I want to be a little bit taller in my own life. I want to be a little bit better, a little bit stronger, a little bit smarter, and at the end of the day a little bit better as a father and everything else. So anyway, thank you so much for listening and remember, YouTube can be a little bit taller.
