Hey everyone, it’s Adam DeGraide here with another micro motivation.
Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays and next week, Happy New Year.
Thank you so much for joining me. I had the privilege of spending Christmas with my family in St. Augustine, it was my niece’s, my nephew, my mom and dad, my kids, my wife, it was a lot of fun and then we had a big Christmas here, it was awesome, it was just great to be there.
And last week, if you watched the video, I covered on how “You Can Only Possess What You Experience” which is based off a great song by Charlie Peacock, he’s a fantastic artist. I highly recommend you check it out.
But this week, the real only question is who am I? Who am I?
Several weeks back, somebody said to me, Adam, who are you?
I said, it’s a pretty interesting question, you know, I started saying things like I’m a CEO of a digital marketing company. I’m a husband of Krystal, who by the way is filming, thank you very much Krystal.
A great father of four amazing children, you know, but is that really who I am, is that really who I want to be identified as, not that those are bad things. Those are all great things but there’s something bigger than that. We all are born for a bigger purpose, we talk about time together. And what I want for 2020 is, 2020 is coming around we all want to be better, we all want to be, ah you know, whether it’s we lose weight, we get healthier, we’re in better shape, We read the Bible more, we’re more spiritual, we’re more kind, whatever it is, we want to be more and a better version of ourselves.
And what I really want for myself comes out in Galatians chapter two, verse 20. It says this: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I now live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” So think about that. I am crucified with Christ, it is no longer I that live, but Christ that lives in me.
And so Krystal and I have been reading through the Bible, we’re almost done with it. It is about my six or seventh time doing it. I’ll be doing that again as well in 2020, and I really want to become closer and closer to God, getting nearer and nearer to his heart, so when people say, Adam, who are you, I can say I’m a Christ follower and somebody who wants to be like Jesus. I want that more for myself in 2020. How about you? You know, who are you? Who am I? There’s no more important question than that.
This has been a micro motivation by Adam DeGraide.
