Hey everyone it’s Adam DeGraide with a micro motivation here
I want to talk to you today about being free, I just saw a really good movie called Harriet, which was the story of Harriet Tubman, who back around the Civil War, times was freeing slaves through the Underground Railroad.
It’s an amazing story of grit, determination, and one woman’s drive to free as many people from slavery as possible, including herself she ended escaping by herself getting to Philadelphia. And then when she was there talking to the person that managed the Freedom Coalition in Philadelphia at the time, she said she’s going back to get her family and friends. He’s like, you know, don’t do that, don’t do that, that type of thing. She says I’m going anyway she goes, You know I have been freed. I have a responsibility to free others. I have been freed. So therefore, I have a responsibility to free others. And I thought that was really interesting and I started thinking about my own faith as a Christian, where the Bible says you know who God has set free, who Christ has set free, is free indeed. He says I am the Way, the Truth, the life no man comes to the Father except by him and once you receive him, you’re forgiven of your sins and the next thing you know you become a free person. And I started thinking about my own selfishness and how I don’t share this message enough with other people. I have been freed.
It is now my responsibility to help free others. And that means those of us watching this video right now, including myself, you know, if you’re not, if you’re still trapped and you’re not free and you don’t have peace and there is no love or grace or mercy in your life, you can absolutely come to Christ, and He will set you free. And you see, just like Harriet Tubman who escaped slavery, and became a free woman, and then she said it would be irresponsible basically for her not to go back and free as many other people as possible. For those of us that are Christians and we’re watching this video today, and we have received freedom. It’s our duty and responsibility to help share the gospel, and love in a way that is affectionate and yet powerful and truthful, because no man comes to the Father except through Jesus, and Jesus truly gives freedom. And if you’re watching this video and you’ve never accepted Christ as your Savior. I highly recommend that you do because that’s where freedom comes.
This is Adam DeGraide, it’s been a micro motivation, thank you so much for watching.
Remember if you can make a point under four minutes, you might not have one to make. Have a great day.
